Birmingham, Alabama (Fountain Heights) Calvary Baptist Church / Macedonia 17th Street Baptist M.P. Möller Opus 5586 (1929) Notes from Barry Norris and Stuart Thompson The Oboe, next to the walkboard, opposite the large opening to the choir loft, has a solid soldered cap with a hole in the top; appears to be that way all the way down; top octave is flues. Next on the chest is Dulciana, 73 notes. Next is the Melodia, also 73 notes, probably six stopped basses on the main chest with it. Does not go harmonic in trebles. Next is Violin Diapason, basses 1-4 off-set at end of chest. Somewhat wide mouth - maybe 2/9. Next is Bourdon, solid stoppers (not bored). 85 notes. Next is 73-note Salicional. Final stop (next to large opening) is Open Diapason. Bottom Octave open wood, off-set next to Violin Diapason basses; at tenor C goes to non-slotted metal. 32-note Pedal Bourdon 16 is on a separate chest, against the wall of the chamber. No extension to play at any other pitch. No other 16' pipes, so Lieblich must be this stop on soft wind. Lying on the floor, under the main chest, are some chimes (wrapped up in what looks like an old blanket) and the short keyboard that had been attached to the console at some point.
