The Organ was purchased by me from the Baptist Church, Bright, IN ca 1980. At that point I lived in Ann Arbor, MI and the organ was installed there. In 1988 it and I moved to Ypsilanti, MI where it remained until purchase and removal by St Patrick's in May, 2008. (the pictures taken by Mr Berg would have been from ~ May, 2008, not 2007). The faux finish which appears in several of the pictures is likely original. Unfortunately, however, the sides and back were overpainted a dreadful flat black. Whether this can be stripped down by the new owners is a question. The organ was, I was given to understand, purchased by the Baptist Church from what I understood as Harrison or Hamilton, IN. However, if I look at a map now, it would appear that it might have come from Harrison, OH, which is only a few miles from Bright, IN. This would probably have been ca 1920. This information would only serve as a possible lead, as I am not at all sure about this provenance. The organ when I got it had been connected to a blower of 7" pressure with no control before entering the reservoir. I shudder to think what it must have sounded like, with much air escaping from the relief valve on the top of the reservoir during quiet passages. It is my understanding that the blower was installed ca 1927. Re: Dulciano (sic) in the stoplist. I believe this is the name as inscribed on the pipe by the voicer. You can check this with Mr Berg, as I no longer have that information in my possession. [Peronal e-mail March 30, 2009]
