Seattle, Washington Bethany Lutheran Organ by Marceau & Associates Pipe Organ Builders 1999 PIPE SOURCES In the swell, the 8' Holz Gedeckt is the former Stopped Diapason. The Salicional and Voix Celeste are also retained from the previous organ, as was the 1954 Reuter 8' Trumpet. The 2-2/3' Nasard, 2' Block Flute, and 1-3/5' Tierce are from the Swell of the 1926 Casavant, Op. 1163, built for St. James R.C. Cathedral in Seattle. The 4' Nachthorn and 8' Schalmei are also recycled pipework, but of unknown provenance. The Great is almost entirely new pipework except for the 4' Bourdon which is used, rescaled pipework - and was previously an 8' Quintadena in the 1934 Reuter (Op. 452) in the Post Chapel at Ft. Lewis. The Great 2' Super Octave is on its own slider, but is drawn as part of the IV-V Mixture. The Great 8' Principal borrows its bottom octave from the Pedal 8' Principal Bass. The Pedal 16' Subbass is also from the 1926 Casavant formerly at St. James Cathedral. The 24 pipes of 8' and 4' extension are from various used sources. The 8' Principal Bass is new for notes 1-17; 1-16 of which form the divided facades for the chambers. 18-44 are pipes of undisclosed provenance.
