We began this project in 2010 with contributory aspects - like re-leathering the stoppers and re-leathering the concussion bellows. The formal project began in early February, 2011. The organ was de-piped and all the pipework cleaned and repaired. Inappropriate tonal changes made during the 1978 installation were undone and original ranks were returned to their proper place where possible. Other missing original pipework was replaced with stylistically appropriate replacements. On the Great, the tenor c 8\' Dulciana had been replaced with a full-compass Bosch IV Mixture in 1978. We opted to install a new 2-2/3\' Twelfth for mutation color and as a part of the Great Principal chorus. The Swell 2\' Flautino had been substituted for the original 8\' Viola. We installed a used, frosted tin ca. 1910 Viola and expanded it to full-compass. The 2\' Flautino was added on a jump-slide as a gift from us to the church, and increased to full-compass as well. The Swell 8\' Oboe - while still tenor C - is prepared to be full-compass. A set of reed boots/blocks without resonators was also given as a gift to the church for that future expansion. A used Estey 8\' Violin Diapason was revoiced and installed in the Pedal as a Violoncello in-place of the 1950\'s used OSI Open Diapason installed in 1978. And the Pedal 4\' Chorale is now a used Estey 8\' Dulciana which was cut-down, de-bearded, and revoiced. It replaced the original W&G 4\' Octave which was returned to the Great. Visually, the missing case front at the sides which had been removed in 1930 were replicated and pipes 1-8 of the Great 8\' Open Diapason were returned to the facade. The organ was dedicated in recital on Sunday, October 23, 2011. Restoration of the facade pipe stenciling will be a future phase.
